How We Work

A Clinic Built for Wound Healing

Wound care isn't an afterthought here — it's the entire practice. Three principles shape how we plan and deliver care.

01

Surgeon-Led

Care is led by Dr. Christopher Dominguez, a board-certified general surgeon. Surgical decisions happen at the bedside — not weeks later in a referral loop.

02

Coordinated

We partner with your primary care, endocrinology, surgery, and home-health teams so everyone stays aligned on the plan and the trajectory.

03

Accessible

Self-referral welcome. Most major insurance accepted, including Medicare and Medicare Advantage. Call to verify your coverage before your visit.

What Is Chronic Wound Disease?

Why Some Wounds Don't Heal — And What Changes That

Healthy wounds follow a predictable arc: inflammation, tissue rebuilding, and remodeling. When that arc stalls — often because of diabetes, poor circulation, infection, pressure, or steroid use — a wound becomes chronic. The body keeps trying, but the same step repeats without progress.

A wound clinic interrupts that loop. The right combination of debridement, advanced dressings, infection control, offloading, and underlying-condition management lets healing restart. If a wound has been open for more than 30 days, it deserves a closer look.
